What is CBD?

CBD is an abbreviation of Cannabidiol. A constituent of the Cannabis Sativa L. Hemp plant, including THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which is the psychoactive element of the plant. These are the two most prominent cannabinoids of this wonderful plant. Research and scientific advancement led to the discovery of what is referred to as the endocannabinoid system within the human physiology.

Is it legal?

Yes! CDB is legal in the UK. Currently, UK legislation supports the sale of CBD with a THC content of less than 0.2%. If you decide to introduce CBD oil to your diet, then we suggest you research into the plant from which it originated. You should also look at the inclusive amounts of CBD and THC. It is a requirement that CBD products sold in the UK must be accompanied with a certified laboratory test report. An expiry date as well as a batch number should also be available with product labelling and packaging, our CBD oil fulfils this criteria.

Will CBD make me high?

No! THC is the active ingredient in cannabis that is psychoactive. Valley Dew's products contain 0 amounts of THC (less than 0.2%) therefore, you will able to obtain the full benefits of the full spectrum CBD oil.

What is the difference between CBD and THC?

CBD (Cannabidiol) and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) are the two most prominent constituents of the hemp plant and quite often they get mixed up with each other. They do however exhibit very different traits.

THC is the psychoactive element and is often associated with the 'high that marijuana smokers would attest to. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive, and is actually known to have a somewhat sedative, calming and relaxing effect.

How do you take CBD?

Valley Dew suggests that you take our CBD Hemp oil using the conventional sublingual method.

(Sublingual) 'Hold oil under your tongue'

Simply apply recommended amount of drops under the tongue and hold for about 30-60 seconds, and gradually swallow. We suggest that you do not ingest any food or drink orally for at least 10 minutes so to increase the bioavailability and absorption into the body. This sublingual application method promotes faster delivery because the CBD and hemp oil’s other natural constituents bypass the digestive system and 1st phase metabolisation by the liver.

Are you a regulated company?

The CTA was set up to be a self-regulating body to promote high standards in the legal Cannabis CBD Trade, and are now the biggest in Europe.
